As part of Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service, SkillZONE staff and volunteers are ideally placed to understand the landscape for children and families in Gloucestershire. The connection to the County Council means that we remain committed to improving outcomes for children and adults and we update our programmes, scenarios and messages regularly to respond to new and emerging risks.
SkillZONE can offer bespoke programmes for Early Help Coordinators and other professionals working with families to support plans and interventions to keep children safe.
We offer intensive diversionary projects such as Fired Up! for children aged 9 to 18 to improve team work, build confidence and reduce anti-social behaviour. We also create interactive sessions for groups to tackle issues affecting communities.
If you are working with a child or teenager on their behaviour or choices, SkillZONE offers a safe but realistic space to deliver that work. We deliver sessions for adolescents with our volunteers or you can ask us about using the space to work with an individual.
